Yo Nature is all about the natural environment, conservation of natural resources and natural living with a special zest on the island of Mauritius. We believe that this gift that nature has given us is priceless and it is our duty to protect it and live in a sustainable way. All the resources that we depend on come from our environment: by engaging in responsible actions, we ensure that these resources can continue to flourish. And without a doubt, the beauty of nature is incomparable: the clear blue water of the oceans, the rugged slopes of mountains, the fresh air of forests, the soothing songs of birds, the majesty of wildlife.
Why Yo Nature?
Yo Nature is actually a short form for Your Nature as in YOURS. The sea. The beaches. The mountains. The forests. The animals. They all belong to you. And you have to take care of it. Unfortunately, it is generally seen that most people take nature for granted for several reasons. At least for us, we have some environmental knowledge that we want to share hoping to make people more environmentally conscious and impact their behavior positively.
Who are we?
Simply a bunch of nature lovers who want to make a difference. We want to share our passion with you. All articles are written with a scientific background and references for further study. Experts, with more than 10 years’ experience in the field, have contributed to the different categories. Some are research scientists while others are teachers in the fields.

Consultancy Services
We also provide consultancy services in coastal and marine environments to both public and private sector clients.
We propose local solutions to local problems after careful evaluation of customers’ issues across the various types of environments including wetlands, mangroves, beaches, lagoon etc. Our role is to provide solutions from an expert’s point of view relating to issues such as climate change, risk assessment and disaster management.
